Installing Skilltree Explorerfor the first time:

  • Windows users:
    • Download designSetup.exe and execute it.
    • From the Help menu, select Skilltree Tutotial. Browse the tutorial.
  • Python users:
    • Unzip the Python sources sdd.zip to a location on the PYTHON_PATH.
      You will need the Python interpretter version 2.5 or higher and WxPython 2.8 or higher installed on your system to invoke the main module design.pyw. 
  • TextPad and MultiEdit users: Unzip the editor macros script.zip to the user folder under the Text Pad 4 installation folder (typically, in Windows, C:\program files\textpad 4\).  The windows installer puts the zip in the Skilltree compiler folder.
